About Us

Pipespy, Inc. was founded in 1998. It is a full-service plumbing, drain and sewer company that specializes in trenchless pipe replacement. Pipespy uses the TRIC trenchless pipe bursting system for replacing underground pipes in both commercial and residential units. TRIC is known as a pioneer and leader of trenchless pipe replacement tools and technology.

Founders, Paul Cooper and Heiko Dzierzon, bring over 30 years combined experienced to the plumbing and drain service business in the Bay Area.

Founders

Paul Cooper, President

Paul Cooper is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia. He came to California in the early 70's with his wife of 25 years. He is not only the President of PipeSpy, but is also a licensed general building and plumbing contractor. He has a lifelong interest in physics and alternative sustainable, and renewable energy. Paul was the co-founder and president of the Alternative Energy Collective from 1978 to 1987. He is now the Vice-President of the Alameda Electric Car Association.

Heiko (Duffy) Dzierzon, Sales and Service

Heiko Dzierzon completed the Union Apprenticeship Program in Germany to become a certified journeyman plumber. In 1990, he came to Berkeley, California and started his own plumbing and hydronic heating business of 7 years before co-founding Pipespy with his friend, Paul Cooper. Heiko is an avid beekeeper and has several beehives in his backyard. He enjoys harvesting his own honey, Trumpetvine Honey. Heiko is a member of the Alameda County Beekeeper Association.
